Solar Development
Land-based solar, developed for the long hold.
RenewRG develops land-based solar and renewable energy infrastructure, with a focus on large-scale projects, disciplined development, strategic partnerships, and long-term asset value.
From site to energization
Five stages. One accountable owner.
Most solar projects fail long before construction. We spend our time on the early stages, where the outcome is decided.
- 01
Identification and screening
Land, zoning, environmental constraints and distance to transmission, checked before anything is committed.
- 02
Interconnection
Queue position, capacity and upgrade cost exposure. A site without a credible grid path is not a project.
- 03
Development planning
Permits, environmental review and community engagement, planned on realistic timelines.
- 04
Partnerships and execution
Experienced construction and capital partners, with milestones and risks tracked to energization.
- 05
Long-term operation
Operations, maintenance and land terms judged on a multi-decade horizon, not the first year's return.
How we evaluate a project
Five questions every project must answer.
Panels are a commodity. The advantage is in the questions asked before the first one is ordered.
- 1Is there a credible path to the grid?We review interconnection and upgrade costs before anything else.
- 2Who buys the power? We favor a defined offtake: a utility program, community solar subscribers or a creditworthy buyer.
- 3Does it work without the incentive?Federal incentives are modeled against current law and its deadlines. A project has to hold up if one slips.
- 4Have the partners done this before? We work with developers and contractors who have energized projects, and we check references.
- 5Will it still make sense in 25 years?Equipment, maintenance and land terms are judged over the full life of the asset.
Who we work with
Partners on the same long horizon.
Landowners
Put underused acreage to work through long-term solar leases, with every term explained.
Developers
Capital and an operator's discipline for projects that need both.
Capital partners
Direct exposure to energy infrastructure alongside a sponsor with its own capital committed.
